Kundalini Yoga & Gong Bath
Wednesday March 20th

Traditional Fall Decorations

The Equinox is also known as an energetic new year. Equinox literally means “equal night” in Latin and we use it to mark the change of seasons. The leaves are changing, the air is brisk, and the days are getting shorter.

Autumn represents the harvest time of year, a time to acknowledge growth and expansion as a natural evolution of our organic being. On the Fall Equinox we honor all that we have in our life and shift our consciousness from one of lack to one of prosperity and gratitude.

It’s a time to reap what you’ve been putting your life force toward these past nine months. It’s a time when there is an equal amount of light and dark present in a day—it’s all about balance—so it’s a powerful time to rebalance, restore, and refocus your energy.

In this workshop we will balance your total being. We will balance your electromagnetic field, stimulate detoxification, develop muscular coordination and balance your brain.

Followed by a meditation for prosperity and abundance where we will use a mantra to help you to break through blocks.

The vibrations from the gong wipe out your current vibration/frequency and help you to reset. It is especially good for shifting stuck emotions and can snap you right out of old patterns as it produces a much deeper, more powerful sound than other instruments. The deep sounds of the gong naturally help you to arrive into a state of relaxation and meditation. A gong bath gives you the opportunity to immerse much deeper into the world of vibrations.

Gongs have been used as shamanic healing tools, celebratory instruments, and a method of communication for thousands of years.

Gong baths allow your brain to relax into alpha-dominant and theta-dominant brain wave states. These are restorative states which allow your brain to store and process the events and experiences of a day. Alpha brainwaves are associated with creativity and feelings of relaxation. This state is followed by an influx of theta waves. Theta waves are associated with deep meditation, hypnosis, and REM sleep. The sounds from the gong can be very loud. The best way to embrace the gong is to surrender, relax, and let go. The gong is your guide and you will ride the waves of the sound current to a deep relaxing state.
